Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- I acknowledge that this checklist regards regular submissions (instead, to publish an article in S.I.P.Ped. Section or in SIMPE Section, one has to refer to the workflow indicated on the dedicated webpages, while submissions of conference/workshop proceedings have to be done as specified by Scientific Societies/Congress Organizers).
- I acknowledge that, for regular submissions, publishing in JPNIM is free of charge: no payments are required from the Authors. More information can be read on the webpage regarding Information for Authors.
- I declare that the submission is original, i.e. it has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- IMPORTANT • I acknowledge that all authors from non-English language countries should get their initial manuscript copyedited by scientific copyediting services at author's own expense. The authors have to submit the initial manuscript along with a certificate of editing. All copyediting services are fully paid for and arranged by the authors. NB. Any submission without a certificate of editing will be automatically rejected.
- I made sure that the text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- I have read the Editorial Policies.
- I acknowledge that authorship credit shall be based on 1) substantial contributions to conception and design, acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data; 2) drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content; and 3) final approval of the version to be published. I declare that each and every person listed as an author meets conditions 1, 2 and 3. I acknowledge that acquisition of funding, collection of data, or general supervision of the research group alone does not constitute authorship. I declare that all contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship are to be listed in an Acknowledgments section at the end of the article.
- I made sure that the text contains a conflict of interest statement and a funding acknowledgement statement. In case of human experimentation, the text explains which ethical standards were followed and contains an informed consent statement. In experiments on animals, the text contains an animal rights statement.
- I acknowledge that before the article final publication I will have to send a signed Publication Agreement, which confirms that all authors agree to take public responsibility for the article's content and that patient informed consent has been obtained; moreover, in this Publication Agreement I will agree on behalf of the whole group of authors to transfer the copyright to the journal’s publisher.
- I acknowledge that self-archive or publication of preprint and postprint is not permitted.
- I authorize the processing of my personal information under the Italian Legislative Decree n° 196/2003 and EU Regulation 2016/679.
